- 6:00Dune bashing
30 to 45 minutes of climbs and drops with a licensed driver who reads the dunes every day. Tell them if you want it gentle or wild.
- 6:45Camel ride, sandboarding & photos
Ride a camel along the ridge, then slide down a dune on a board, in the softest light of the day.
- 7:30Arabic coffee & dates
Sit down with Arabic coffee, dates and light snacks while the sand slowly warms up around you.
- 9:00Back at your hotel
Sand in your shoes, photos on your phone, and the whole day still ahead.

Most visitors reach the dunes in the afternoon. In the morning the sand is cool, the tracks are fresh and the only sound is your own engine.
Your car, your pace
The 4×4 and the driver are only for your group, up to 4 guests. Stop for photos whenever you like, and skip whatever you don't.
The best light of the day
Long shadows and soft gold light on the ridges: the early hours give the photos people fly to Dubai for.
The rest of the day is yours
You are back at your hotel about four hours after pickup, with time left for breakfast, the beach or a nap.

How much is the morning desert safari in Dubai?
AED 850 per private car for up to 4 guests, so about AED 213 each when you are four. Hotel pickup, dune bashing, the camel ride, sandboarding, Arabic coffee and dates are included.
Can I see the sunrise on the morning safari?
Yes. In winter the sun rises around 7:00, so a 5:00 to 6:00 pickup gets you to the dunes before it comes up. In summer it rises around 5:30: with a 5:00 pickup you arrive in the first golden light.
Morning or evening safari: which one should I choose?
Choose the morning for cooler temperatures, empty dunes and soft light, with your afternoon free. Choose the evening safari if you want the sunset, a BBQ dinner and live shows at the camp.
Is dune bashing safe?
Yes, with a DTCM-licensed driver and seat belts on. It is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back or heart problems: tell us and your driver will keep it gentle or skip it.
What should I wear?
Light, comfortable clothes and closed shoes. Bring a light jacket for the evening and night safaris: the desert cools down after sunset.
Is breakfast part of the tour?
You get Arabic coffee, dates and light snacks in a traditional setting.
Can kids come along?
Yes. Children are welcome and the driver can skip dune bashing for them.
