Passenger, then driver
Most visitors spend their safari in the back seat of a 4×4. It is thrilling, but at some point you want the controls. Adding a quad ride turns the day around: first the driver shows you the dunes, then you ride them yourself.
How the day works
A typical plan looks like this:
- Quad session first, in the afternoon light, while you still have energy.
- Dune bashing in a 4×4 on the way deeper into the desert.
- Sunset from the top of a dune.
- Evening at the camp.
That is why the quad pairs naturally with the evening desert safari.
What it costs
Our Dubai desert safari starts from AED 350 and quad biking from AED 175. Booking both together lets us plan your timings so you do not wait between activities.
Who can ride
Quad drivers must be at least 16. Younger children can still join the safari part as passengers. Beginners take an automatic quad and ride with a guide.
Tips to enjoy both
- Wear long trousers and closed shoes: you will need them on the quad.
- Keep goggles or sunglasses handy for the dune bashing.
- Do the quad before eating, not after.
- Ask for a longer quad session if you catch the bug in the first ten minutes.
More than one activity?
If you want to add the sea as well, look at our Dubai combos, which pair the desert with a jet ski or a yacht.
